Campaign Background:
Each wipe away student message board/project we publish is a poster sized laminated organizer that is distributed free of charge to respective student populations. It has fifteen sponsors advertising on it. During the first two weeks of school our distributors hand out 10,000 message boards at no cost to excited students across the country.  The advertising coordinator is responsible for assistance with every aspect of the planning and development stage.

The job duties involve visiting the local businesses surrounding the assigned campus or campuses and securing sponsors for each assigned 'message board project’. The pay is $1200. plus approved expenses for each project assigned.  We have continual projects for the hired advertising coordinators to undertake. The handling of our accounts at the assigned campuses involves contacting the sponsors, establishing a rapport and then educating them on how the advertising campaign will benefit their company this year. Other duties include brainstorming ideas for sponsor’s advertisements, neatly organizing these ideas on paper, collecting payment from clients, and communicating with management on a regular basis.

Our portfolio is established and contains eight years of promotional projects. The students we have hired to represent our campaigns are quality communicators, and feel passionately about ‘college life’. They utilize their student status to provide sound advice regarding student’ needs and desires in the year .  We will train the new coordinators to effectively master the skills needed in the ‘real world’. Theory and formulas cannot provide the same learning experience as the Advertising Coordinator Internship will.

The Advertising Coordinator is someone who enjoys the fields of advertising, media & communications.  This position relates directly to our ‘Wipe Away Message Board’ Campaign.  Which is a promotional item handed out at no cost to thousands of students across the U.S & Canada.  The advertising coordinator is responsible for effectively updating and re-motivating existing clients to participate in the campaign. In addition, the AD Coordinator will also be responsible for approaching some new advertisers when necessary.
This involves presenting our annual research results to managers, owners, and media directors at companies ranging from Wal-Mart to Café 128.  The hired coordinator will be fully trained, but a confident, outgoing and positive personality, among other key personality traits is needed.   The student must also exhibit a strong interest in campus life.  Essentially, this involves being able to express ‘new’ and ‘fresh’ insight into the interests and lifestyles of students in ‘’ to our new and old sponsors.   Communicating the needs of students, as related to the benefits the message boards provide is also important.

This position involves mostly semi-formal presentations to businesses with a vested interest in the student market.  Securing their participation with the message board campaign is not a complex task, since sponsors are aware of the effectiveness of our message board, and usually await a visit from our Campus Advertising Coordinators.  He/She will represent our campaign at the assigned campuses we cover.  The listings can be found on campussaver.com, and if there is a campus with an enrolment over 10k that we are not covering that is convenient for you, then let us know.
